Communications
  • Lead the local Farm Bureau Communications Action Team by recruiting and providing direction to others who will carry out action team programs and activities. Work with the president, vice president, board and other action teams to establish a program of work that is tied to Farm Bureau goals.
  • Establish relationships with local media representatives. Work with local media to suggest story ideas and provide Farm Bureau news to local media.
  • Use social media tools as an additional outlet to publicize Farm Bureau programs.
  • Create or coordinate content for county Farm Bureau communications resources, such as newsletters, Facebook pages, website, etc.
  • Communicate to farmers and consumer audiences respectively about Farm Bureau programs and member benefits.
  • In conjunction with other action teams, plan programs that meet goals and connect Farm Bureau membership and messages to both farmer and consumer audiences.
  • Build relationships with other groups that can further Farm Bureau’s mission. Work closely with other Farm Bureau action teams to coordinate communication plans.
